While shopping in downtown Seattle, my husband and I had to check out a display that I kept hearing about...Emilie Sloan totes hanging from the ceiling at City Kitchens in the heart of downtown Seattle! It gave me goosebumps!!! :)
Fresh was one of the first stores to receive our new Spring 09 line and they are almost sold out in one week! Take a look at their blog and if you haven't visited their fabulous store - you should!
I recently was invited to FaceLogic in Redmond, WA on Nov 22nd to meet with clients and talk to them about the Emilie Sloan collection. http://www.facelogicredmond.com/
What a fantastic spa! If you are looking for a great facial with a very friendly staff you have to make an appt - they are simply wonderful! Lydia, the owner, has created such a warm and calming atmosphere - I need to call and make an appt. They have on display several Emilie Sloan bags and in such cute displays. Thanks ladies, for making my Saturday morning fun!
On Nov 20th Fresh in Seattle had a Ladies Night Cocktail Party to show off the new Emilie Sloan Spring Collection. What fun! There ended up being about 75 women there - most of which had helped me select the new fabric patterns on the bags.
Isn't it every girl's dream to be a bag designer? Well, it has always been mine! So, I recently started a new tote bag company, Emilie Sloan, named after my two daughters. Starting my own business has been an amazing journey! From making the bags in my home sewing room to finding a company to produce the bags, getting the bags in the stores - the process has really been fascinating and rewarding! Seeing people around town carrying my bags still makes me pause and pinch myself. :)
On the personal side, I love designing and sewing purses/clothes, gardening... I'm a typical wife and mother of three great kids; Madison Sloan (18yrs), Emilie (14yrs) and Logan (8yrs). We live in an older home in Seattle, WA, near many family members and great friends.
